Kids’ Chance of Illinois
Scholarship Recipient

Kids’ Chance of Illinois,
I would love to come to any event that Kids’ Chance will be hosting. I would gladly speak or even provide a motivational speech of some sort. I’m just a young African-American man who is trying to pursue a big dream in my family that hasn’t been accomplished before. With graduation coming up on Mother’s Day, I will be the first-generation college student in my immediate family.

I want to thank you all that work with Kids’ Chance from the bottom of my heart. You guys have made it easier for me to continue my education. I’ve never met anyone through Kids’ Chance in person yet and I would be thrilled to do so. I plan on working at a federal prison for a little while then eventually applying for the US Marshall Service or the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). A big requirement for any federal job is to provide a college degree or some type of law-enforcement experience. Kids’ Chance helped me get a college degree and I want to thank everyone once again from the bottom of my heart for helping me get as far as I have in my educational career.

Sincerely,
Devin
